The moving of the Holy Spirit is still alive and active TODAY

For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Peter 1:21

Prophets in the old were simple women and men that were used of God to proclaim a message of God, through the moving of the Holy Spirit. If God had a message to relay to the people, he would use these men and women, who would consecrate themselves to be used of God, and his purposes. Men and women full of holy spirit, were chosen for this task, to relay the message of the Kingdom to the people of God.

Prophecy is not an easy task to handle because people look at the messenger rather than the message. They think that the messenger has something to do with the message, when the messenger is ONLY speaking what he hears, not even of his own will, but of the will of the father. There are some people who misuse the calling, and misunderstand the message, I am sure, but I believe God will deal with them personally. It is a very important job and a task, and one must be very careful with this assignment, and take it seriously.

Prophets like Moses who led out the people of Israel from Egypt, by the Lord’s instructions, or prophets like Jeremiah who stood in the gap, despite facing difficulty, and being persecuted to deliver the Word of God, and the pressure from his people.

The messenger is only a vessel that is willing to be used of God, and when God is done with him, he is a normal human being, functioning just like everybody else.

GOD chooses who to use, and how much to use, and for what purposes. He is the potter we are the clay. Can clay say to his maker, why are you using me? Why have you made me? No clay is specifically made for the use of the potter. The potter decides what he will do with clay.

Today, the Lord is still using his prophets, whom he prepared to speak his word, and to display his Glory. If people won’t speak, the rocks will cry out, but his word will still be proclaimed to the world. The bible is still alive and active to proclaim his will to the nations.

This can be done through speaking, preaching, singing, or even art.

The bible speaks of heaven and the skies proclaiming God’s glory, without even speaking a single word. Psalm 19:1

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Just look at the skies, different painting every single hour, declaring the GLORY of GOD.

How powerful! That even the nature itself proclaims the wonders of God. The skies, trees, grass, and everything around us, speaks of God’s Glory. When we look in the bible, a simple illustration of nature can proclaim a message. If ears are open, and eyes are ready to receive, there is a MESSAGE all around us.

If we don’t speak, if we don’t proclaim, the rocks will cry out.” Luke 19:40

The gift of prophecy is not only limited to speaking, or art, because the art of speaking can be interpreted different ways.

God uses anything, and anyone to speak, he used a donkey, an animal to warn Ballam the sorcerer. Numbers 22:21-39 an angel to speak to Mary the mother of Jesus Luke 1:28-38 Joseph to warn him of Herod’s plan Mathew 2:13 and Zechariah Luke 1:11-20 about the birth of his son. These are just some of the examples, there are so many more.

God is closer to us, then we think! He speaks through objects, he speaks through animals, creatures, and birds. Just look up, and look around. But if your mind is not focused on spiritual matters, you won’t see it. As the bible says

They may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!” Mark 4:12

The gift of prophecy is still circulating around the world TODAY, Holy Spirit is still moving through his prophets, as they speak, write, or even illustrate a message through the means of social media, and entertainment, even so more in these days…

In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Joel 2:28 ; Acts 2:17

I wanted to share this absolutely breathtaking piece that my dear friend Ursula wrote, that goes along so perfectly with this message, and who inspired me to write this piece. I could not just pass it by, I had to SHARE it on my TABLE, for edification of the body. I hope it speaks to you, as it spoke loudly to me.

Before a lump of clay is formed into another vessel….it spins. Around and around it goes. And anyone who knows anything about pottery making knows that the potter MUST keep his hands on the clay or else it will spin off the wheel and lose the shape intended by the potter.

So there we go on the Potter’s wheel….feeling like we are “spinning out of control.” But just as I mentioned earlier…..the Potter keeps his hands on the clay during the process…He never let’s go of it! He holds onto the clay! Hear what’s being said here!! You may feel like you are being spun out of control in no direction but Your skillful Potter IS IN CONTROL. GOD……IS IN CONTROL of YOU…to keep you….holding you….as His clay…..in the process of being on HIS Potter’s wheel…….into another vessel that He sees will better suit you………selah…………

FYI….we all have been on the Potter’s wheel or WILL have to get up there at some point in time……continuing throughout our lives. Also….don’t be afraid of His Potter’s Wheel….it’s designed to be for OUR GOOD in the end! 💖💕💖💕

The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, SO ARE YE IN MINE HAND, O house of Israel.
Jeremiah:18:1-6

And we know that all things work together for good to THEM THAT LOVE GOD, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.
Romans:8:28
