⚡And Jesus replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others]

📖 MATTHEW 22:37‭-‬39 📖

What does it mean to love God with all your mind, body, and soul? Your mind consists of thoughts, ideas, perceptions, and imaginations. Your body is your earthly temple, and heart, that intimate part of you; feelings, emotions, passion, pursuit, and desires. To love God with all your heart, is to sacrifice yourself daily, commit daily, and dedicate yourself to the Lord, in your thoughts, dealings, and even your emotions. It’s not just with words, but ACTION, through your lifestyle.

God doesn’t just want our words, our outward appearance, he wants US, surrendered to him inwardly, completely through EVERY part of our being!

Can you love God with all your being? Your heart, your mind, your soul? Can you love God with your thoughts, desires, and daily pursuits? Can you love him with through all your emotions, and feelings, discomfort, and fear?

Through ACTION not just words? Can you give yourself away? Surrendering your all? Completely?

Now can you also go a bit further? Love others, as yourself ? Unselfishly seeking the best for others? Giving yourself away, putting others needs before your own?
