Get dressed for Battle

Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

The putting on an armor is of much importance, let alone the importance of a FULL armor. You wouldn’t go out into cold weather half dressed, why would you go out into the battlefield half armored?

The minute we step out of our home, or even the minute we get out of our bed, we are faced with battles. People, situations, circumstances, that require our attention, fears, doubts, condemnation, frustration that is ready to attack us.

The enemy watches us like a roaring, hungry lion, seeking to devour, looking to catch us off guard. This is why Paul instructs us to put on the FULL armor.

When we have the FULL armor on, we are protected from the schemes of our enemy, we are ready for anything he throws our way, but when we are half dressed, we are vulnerable and open for the enemy to attack.

As Paul says to the church in Ephesus, he speaks to us believers as well. Put on the FULL armor of God, so that you can stand against the schemes, and plots of the enemy. He is always planning, scheming, seeking to destroy. I have given you a way out!

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Belt of TRUTH

The belt of truth is an armor of protection, an armor to stand against deception. When the enemy comes to attack us with lies, false ideas, and preconceived imaginations, we will discern the lies and cut lies with truth, THE WORD OF GOD

Scriptures to Declare

I will walk blameless and do what is right, I will speak truth from my heart, and utter no slander. I will do no wrong to those surrounding me, and cast no slur on others. I will do my best to present myself as a vessel of God for his purposes, and his services.

The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others.

Psalm 15:2-3 NIV 

I will not only love others with words, but also with my actions, and in truth. God is truth, and he advances me in all things concerning him.

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

I speak, dwell on, and think about what is true, what is noble, what is right, what is pure, that which is lovely, that which is admirable, excellent, and praise worthy. I will not speak negativity into my life, or speak words of death to those surrounding me, as well as to myself. God is my fortress, my divine help concerning this!

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Like Jesus, I will do my best to be truthful, and point others to Christ. He is the way, the truth, and life.

Helmet of Salvation

Helmet of Salvation is given to me, to protect my mind from lies, and deception. When I know the WORD of God, I can detect satan’s lies, and speak truth into my situation.

Scriptures to Declare

Concerning my salvation, I know that salvation is found in no one but Jesus, there is no other name that can save, like the name of JESUS. My works cannot save me, my deeds cannot save me, I lean on Jesus, I depend on Jesus, I cling and find my way out with JESUS.

Salvation is found in no one else, [but Jesus] for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.

Acts 4:12

Just like the jailers who sought for a way out, we too can cry out and call on the Lord Jesus to save us. Not only us, but everyone that is connected to us.

They replied, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.

Acts 16:31 NIV 

When the enemy comes at me with lies, to keep me in bondage, I find my rest in God, nothing I can do to earn my salvation, his salvation is available to me, his grace and mercy is freely given to me. His salvation is my fortress, my divine help in times of trouble. I call out to the Lord and he hears me from his holy mountain.

Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.

Psalm 62:1 NIV 

When I run into trouble, and the enemy is whispering lies, to get me off track, it is with my heart that I believe, and am justified, not anything I do, or don’t do. I profess my faith, with my mouth, and I am saved.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 10:10

When we know who we are in a Christ and the plan of God’s Salvation for us, nothing can sway us, no one can move us. My Friend I want your FULL armor on, this is why I am sharing this with you.

Breastplate of Righteousness

The enemy oftentimes comes for our heart. This is where our feelings and emotions are stored, and his truth is hidden. This is why we must wear the Breastplate of Righteousness. Your word oh God, I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against you. The enemy frustrates us, and tries to get to us through our feelings, and emotions, but if we get our heart right, nothing can move us, or sway us. Standing in right standing with God, gives us courage to face the lies, and instead accept the truth of GOD’S word. God’s truth, gives us the confidence, and assurance of our hope in the Lord.

Scriptures to Declare

Though things do not seem good right now, I know in confidence that I will not be shaken by it. My God will not forsake the righteous, he will never abandon me, or leave me hanging. I am standing on his truth, and I will not be shaken.

Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.

Psalm 112:6 | NIV

No matter what the enemy says, or what I believe in my heart, I know that the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be destroyed in due time, and the wicked will perish. I trust in the LORD.

For the Lord loves the just
and will not forsake his faithful ones.
Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed;
the offspring of the wicked will perish.

Psalm 37:28 | NIV

When the enemy tells me I am not good enough, that my past is dirty, and I am unworthy, thanks devil I know I fall short, It is in CHRIST alone that I am complete, and become the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD.

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Shoes of Peace

No matter where we go, or what we encounter on our path, the shoes of peace will guide us into all things, and pave out a way, for us to follow. The Gospel of peace passes all understanding, and gives us a peace of mind. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.


I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

John 16:33 | NIV

Trouble is unavoidable, but I can have perfect peace, because my mind stays on JESUS and I am an overcomer. Greater is he that is within me, than he who threatens to destroy me.


Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

John 14:27 | NIV

The peace of God is unlike the peace that the world offers me. I am not troubled, because the Lord sustains me, I am not afraid, because he guides my footsteps.


Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7 | NIV

I WILL not worry my pretty little head, because GOD is in control of all my details. When I pray mountains move, when I pray situations scatter, giants fall. God gives me peace that surpasses all understanding, and he guards my heart and mind.

Shield of Faith

An important armor to protect ourselves from attacks of the enemy, is the FAITH shield. When the arrows fly our way seeking to destroy us, we will raise that SHIELD that protects us from all harm. That confidence and assurance of God’s love for us, is nothing like it.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Hebrew 11:1 |NIV

Faith is what moves ME, Faith is what drives me. I walk by faith, and not by what I see in front of me. Faith is my confidence and assurance that GOD is who he says he is. What I am hoping to see and accomplish is coming to pass.


For we live by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7 | NIV

I just got to make sure that I don’t doubt, that FAITH is at full speed, and full force, to activate in my life. Because the one who doubts does not receive! I am walking by faith, and not by what I see. Greater is HE!


But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

If I just believe in confidence, and I am assured in my spirit, whatever I ask for in prayer, I will receive.


If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

Sword of the Spirit

The most important weapon, is the WORD of God, SWORD OF THE SPIRIT. In the spirit world we cannot fight with weapons that are carnal, but rather with weapons that are spiritual. Mighty weapons of God’s WORD, as his truth, and final authority against deception, and lies.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12 | NIV

I am the authority of GOD. I am his RIGHTEOUSNESS his PEACE, his INHERITANCE. When I speak MY WORDS are alive and active, and are capable to destroy lies and deception, my words judge the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Your words devil are dull against my GOD, YOUR lies and deception are found out. I desire no portion of your meal, your works are FINISHED in my life!

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 | NIV

I am equipped for every good work. I am ready to attack, I am ready to defend. I am ready to discern your lies satan.

God’s WORD is a lamp to my footsteps, and a light to my journey. He leads me into all things, instructs me in all my ways. He guides me on the path of Righteousness, for his name sake. Though I walk through the valley of darkness, I fear no evil. Get away from me! Everything I do, everything I am belongs to him.

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

PRAYER is given to us as a gift to communicate with our creator, to move according to his ways, to know the mind, and will of GOD, to be successful in all things, TO PURSUE all that he has designed for us, and to step into all things made for us. When the LORD guides our hands, and he establishes our path, nothing can move us, nothing can shake us, nothing can derail us from his LOVE. This is why we need to make PRAYER our daily routine, and habit. When we talk to GOD, we know his plan, and purpose for our life, and the enemy cannot deceive us.

Scriptures to Declare

We are instructed to PRAY, to talk to GOD in ways that HE can only understand. We must communicate his plan, and purpose for our daily living, his daily portion, his daily leading.

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 | NIV

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 4:16 | NIV

As children of GOD we have authority to come to his throne, and ask with confidence. God is faithful and just to help us in our time of need. We just need to open our mouth, and ASK

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

He knows what’s going on around us, he knows everything about us. Nothing comes as surprise to our God. When the enemy comes about seeking to devour, we will have our guard up, through prayer- a line of communication to warn, to give us a heads up, and communicate issues around us.

I’m thankful that God gives us a way out! When the enemy comes around, we are ready to respond in action.

My Prayer

Jesus today I put on my helmet of salvation, to protect my mind from lies and deception of the enemy. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every lying tongue, condemned. I know that salvation is found in no one but Jesus, there is no other name that can save, like the name of JESUS. At His NAME every stubborn knee, every prideful knee shall bow, and every tongue confess. I confess that you are my LORD and my Savior. My works cannot save me, my deeds cannot save me, I lean on you Jesus, I depend on you Jesus, I cling and find my way out with you JESUS. Thank you for your truth LORD, truth that protects me from lies of the enemy. When I put on my belt of truth, through the WORD of GOD, I respond in action. Your word is powerful, alive and active, sharper than any double edge sword, capable to destroy every lie, every high thing that exalts against knowledge and truth of GOD. With this SHIELD, of faith I raise up my banner as a standard against my enemy. You must flee, you must go, you must scatter, my foe and my enemy. I walk by FAITH and not by sight. What I see does not faze me, what I am facing does not intimidate me, I am powerful and capable to overcome all my weaknesses. I am the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD, and I walk in his peace, and understanding. Away from me, you evildoers! God is my fortress, my divine help in time of trouble.
