Love does not delight in evil

1 Corinthians 13 paints the perfect picture of love. This love describes what Christ LOVE should look like. This love is patient, kind, not envious, not boastful, or proud. The passages speak of our actions, and conduct towards others, and in the way, we reflect Christ to those around us.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

We cannot love THIS way unless God enables us to love this way. We cannot express this kind of love, and conduct in our behaviors, unless a higher power drives us to sacrificially offer this gift of sacrifice.

To be patient, one must practice patience.

To be kind, one must watch his or her words.

To not be boastful is to hold back the tongue from speaking deceit, or evil.

To be faithful is to put our confidence and assurance in the one who promises peace.

Are we too quick to judge, point fingers, envy, and be prideful? That is not the love of God, it is fleshly, carnal love. Our flesh does not desire to make any kind of sacrifices, but God’s love does. God’s love send his son JESUS to die for humankind.

Love serves, love overlooks, love extends, love delights in truth, and not evil. LOVE NEVER FAILS.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

Dear God help me to live in a way of love. Be patient, kind, not envious, boastful, or proud. Examine my heart, and remove what’s not of you. Please help me to get excited when truth is prevailing, rather than get excited about evil, and it’s works. Help me to lovingly stand up for injustice, and seek out all truth, amen!

If this has helped you in any way, share it to bless others
