Let your light shine ever so brightly
This afternoon I had a chance to share a Powerful WORD with one of my prayer groups, that the Lord gently put in my heart this morning that I also want to pass it on to THIS TABLE.
This revelation comes from Matthew 5:16
Let your light SHINE ever so brightly
I didn’t properly shine my light, in-fact I was ashamed of being a Christian, or anything that bares that name. As a result, my light did not reflect to those around me, and I became like the rest of the world.
Looking for a way out, scrambling in the dark.
This scripture speaks so loudly into my life, because in my private time with the Lord, I was convicted of doing the opposite. Hiding my light! I did not want anyone to know I was a believer. I did not want to be different, unique or peculiar. I wanted to be like the rest of the crowd. But God did not create me to be like the rest of the crowd. He created me, YOU to be different, peculiar and carriers of his Light.
Let your light shine before others that they may SEE your GOOD DEEDS, and GLORIFY your FATHER in HEAVENMatthew 5:16 NIV
Let the good works you do, the gifting God placed in you, the purpose for what you were created for, morals, sound judgment, be magnified in your life, to people around you. Let the light on the inside generate God’s goodness, and Grace to people around us. Let the light speak of his glory, so people would want the light of God in their life.
In our workplaces
In our communities
Groups and ministries
In our home
In our churches
To our friends, and family
To our children and beyond
When we hide our light on purpose, the little light that we do have will die out. A candle when covered, cannot shine any longer. So it is with our spirit.
Sometimes we hide behind our situations, cover up under our circumstances, we are ashamed of our past, and fear driven, but we must not hide, but SHINE.
To SHINE is to generate a visible source of energy!
To SHINE is to STAND out and REFLECT the goodness of GOD ever so brightly.
LET IT BE VISIBLE, to people around us. Let our faith be visible to those we are around. Let our confidence build others, let trust in our Savior be magnified, and glorified. When we have an opportunity to give God glory, let us not be ashamed, or hide behind excuses. Let us instead come forward, and allow God to cleanse us of our unrighteousness. Let God have his way in us.
Create in us a clean heart, renew a right spirit within us. A spirit that is willing, a spirit that is meek, a spirit that changes us from inside out.
The five foolish virgins did not prepare their lamps. They fell asleep, and when it was time to meet their maker, they were too late. Don’t be like the foolish, procrastinating, slumbering, depending on others to give you their light. Don’t slumber or put things on back burner. Press that oil through to victory. Seek out the oil from praying, from studying your bible, from spending your time with the father. So when the groom comes, will you be ready to meet him.
Are you at this hour ready to meet the groom
It’s our daily duty to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.
