THE BIBLE

Step 1: Read and Meditate. The most common way most of us try to memorize Scripture is to read it over and over again.

Step 2: Write It Into Your Heart. Reading the Scripture is a great place to start. Reading the verses we want to memorize gives us understanding of the meaning of God’s Words and helps us to meditate on God’s Words.

Step 3: Recall the Verse. Recalling the verses you are memorizing is the hardest step. Repeat just the keyword a few times until it sticks in your memory. Those keywords will enable you to recall Scripture much more easily.

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Psalm 119:11 NIV

MEMORIZE SCRIPTURES

“No one sews a patch of un-shrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved”

Matthew 9:16-17

“As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. ”

Matthew 10:7-8
