Don’t judge God by the way things has been, is now, and your forecast of your future (what you think the outcome will be). He’ll blow your mind.
After the disruptions of the past few years, many people still feel stuck in a rut. Habit patterns shifted and it’s a challenge to get back on track. Many people began watching church services online while sitting in their recliners at home, and some still are. Some are still struggling with attending Small and Large group events.
We autotomized our giving. We began working from our kitchen or dining room table. Many parents are still trying to help their children with online learning. We wondered if we would ever feel normal again. We’re mindful that normal isn’t coming back, but Jesus is.
The people in Joel’s day suffered a pestilence of locust, but God promised to restore them and restore the losses they had sustained.
Ask Him to do the same for you. The Lord Jesus is a Master at restoring and reviving His people. One pastor simply prayed, “Lord, I need a fresh anointing!” My prayer was, Lord Jesus I need a refreshing. Renew the right spirit in me. I felt I was running on fumes. I remembered in my weakness His strength is made or remains strong.
There’s no shame in asking God for just what you need. He told us to ask, seek, and knock. He knows anyway.
Father in Jesus name, Thank You for grace to see another day. Thank You for giving us our daily bread. Some of us prayed for a fresh start in 2024. Restore our souls and give us a fresh burden for this new year. Lord we ask You to make up for what’s been lost. Restore health, joy, and productivity in our lives. Let us not be weary in doing what we know is right. In due time we will reap, if we don’t faint. As we continue to worship You, Manifest Your Power through us. Save everyone connected to us. Touch, Strengthen, and Heal our sick according to Your will and Your way. Comfort all who’ve experienced the transitioning of a loved one from this life, especially over the past 3 years. Amen
They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint….You get a little stronger….
“Like a watch, the human spirit can just run down….God has the power and willingness to breathe a new breath of life into one who’s finding it difficult to move forward.
