Think about all the ways God displays his power. He controls the raging, torrential storms and the crippling droughts.
When we are weak, God is strong!
We are all like Paul. We all have weaknesses. The lesson that we can learn, is to recognize our weakness and ask God to supply His strength for whatever task lies before us.
God’s grace is sufficient for you!
Paul declares once again that he will boast in his weakness and be content in his suffering because when Paul is weak, it more clearly proves that Christ is powerful.
In whatever area of weakness we find ourselves, whether in ourselves or our circumstances, the Holy Spirit “helps us in our weakness” Romans 8:26. The grace of God is sufficient and made perfect in our weakness and we can receive grace upon grace from Him in our time of need John 1:16. We should trust in God’s grace and rely on it to sustain us in our weaknesses. We should put our faith in God’s ability to empower us, rather than in our own abilities.
Father in Jesus name, Thank You for the gift of today. I pray for healing and comfort for anyone dealing with heartache. I pray that they find refuge in You in the midst of their pain. May You continue to give them the strength to keep going, to push through these dark moments and know You are with them every step of the way. Teach us, O God, to rely on Your strength, not our own, as we strive to remain physically strong and resilient. May Your Holy Spirit empower us with the discipline and determination necessary to overcome obstacles and to pursue a life that glorifies You. Comfort the bereaved and broken hearts. Amen
