My Conversion Story

 I was driving on a highway on my way to Jacksonville, FL when the Holy Spirit touched my heart, and placed a childhood song in my spirit.

It went like this

Прости меня, Боже, прости, я молю,
Прости, что так поздно к Тебе прихожу,
Прости, что я раньше Тебя не познал
И друга иного тогда я избрал.

Closest English Translation

Forgive me, God, forgive me, I pray.
Forgive me, for I’m coming to you, a little too late.
Forgive, that I didn’t know, or gotten to know you
And chosen a friend of the world.

Tears began to flow from my eyes, I finally understood, and my stony heart became soft.  

God forgive me, for not seeking you, forgive me for running from you, that it took me this long, to finally realize I belong to you.  Forgive me father for I have sinned! 

And at that moment I felt as if God was saying, welcome home my daughter! I have been looking for you. 

I promise you, it sounds better, and more personal in RUSSIAN. I was balling, and laughing, and singing like it was no body’s business.  That is the language that God spoke to me, my native tongue. I have not been the same since!

I felt like he was speaking directly to me, that he wrote this song for me, and looking back at that moment every lyric spoken, is exactly where I am . I have given him my heart, my life, everything I have belongs to him.  

As I listened to further lyrics,  tears could not stop flowing, every lyric SPOKE directly to my heart! I repented of my sins, and gave my life to Christ. Right there in a car, I felt brand new, and my burdens were lifted. I felt like I was washed and made new, cleansed of my sins, that were purple as scarlet, made whiter than snow.
