Planning

Do you plan? For me, pre-planning is an essential part of my daily life. I create grocery lists, to-do lists, and ministry outlines, ensuring that no detail is overlooked. From Sunday school lessons to holiday preparations, and even my devotional reading and study sessions, everything that needs to get done finds its way onto the paper.

Planning  An orderly step-by-step plan or proposal for accomplishing an objective.

Some individuals prefer to keep things simple by noting only the essentials, such as holidays and events, while others plan every detail. There is no right or wrong way of doing this; choose what makes your life easier and more manageable.

Finding your Planning Style

Starting your planning journey can be a fun process of trial and error to figure out what works best for you. Some people enjoy using digital tools like apps and calendars, while others prefer the hands-on feel of jotting things down in a planner or journal. I do both! You can find me planning on my app, but then you can also find me journaling in my notebook, or my to-do list.

 Staying Flexible

Pre-planning is a great strategy, but staying flexible is just as important. Life can throw curveballs, and plans often need tweaking or rearranging. Being open to change helps you adapt without getting stressed out. Think of your plan as more of a guide than a rulebook. This way, you can handle surprises while still focusing on your big-picture goals.

Take a moment to think about your planning habits—what small steps can you take today to make tomorrow smoother? Start with manageable changes and discover how pre-planning can pave the way for a more organized and rewarding life.

You could try out different approaches and see what fits your style and  boosts your productivity. The key is to create a system that fits your lifestyle and feels most natural to you & best fits your daily schedule and routine.
