Psalm 91

Psalm 91 is one of my favorite chapters to declare over my life. It serves as a daily prayer for protection and safety. As I reflect on Psalm 91, I recognize the connections and promises it holds, offering rescue and security when proclaimed.

Thoughts & Reflections

The entire Psalm 91 revolves around the idea of Protection, Safety, and Promises of God. A Psalm when used, is a shelter to those who are facing troubles, and going through trials. David the Psalmist records his emotions and feelings in the midst of his troubles, (running from SAUL, facing giant Goliath, and costantly living in fear of his enemies) finding true rest in the promises of GOD, and the Lord’s Decrees.

A person that chooses to dwell within the secret place, is a person that stays close to GOD, and seeks refuge from him.That person rests within the promises of God and is not afraid of the evil surrounding him. As Psalm 23 states;

” Even if I walk through the darkness valley you are there with me.” PARAPHRASED promising and unveiling safety beyond what we can see, or even imagine.

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.  (Psalm 91:7-12). again promisising safety and refuge to those who trust and rely upon the LORD.

and

“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone” (Psalm 91:7-12).

God himself will send angelic interference to protect you and shield you.

I am seeking, I am looking, listening attentively for him to show me. So much is catching my attention.

Listen attentively what is God drawing your attention to? Maybe it’s a moment that he is highlighting in your life, What is he saying to you?

Now that you have heard God’s Truth, how will you apply this word, how will you practice what you learned in your life?
