What is Purpose

Purpose : – the intent for which something was created for. ⬅

No matter where we look, everything has a purpose, everyone is searching for a purpose. Now more than ever, people are looking for a higher calling, and the purpose for which they were created for.

but finding purpose is simple!

If you know what you are looking for!

Every Part Matters

Everything in creation has purpose—trees, flowers, the rain, the sun, and the moon. Houses, schools, and people—each serves a role. Whether it’s the bus driver, the lunch lady, the little girl with pigtails, or the shy boy in the corner, everyone has a purpose!

“Now if the foot should say, ‘Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,’ it would not for that reason stop being part of the body…”1 Corinthians 12:15-18 NIV

No matter who you are, God has placed something special inside of you, meant to serve the greater purpose of the body.

Leaders Encourage

Leaders don’t just lead—they help others find their purpose!

Leaders encourage, uplift, and guide others toward their unique calling. They remind each person that their role is essential to the bigger picture.

“If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body…”1 Corinthians 12:22-23 NIV

Every person—regardless of ability, personality, or background—has a purpose designed by God. We are all connected, and each role plays a vital part in fulfilling His greater plan.

” Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all it’s many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit as to form one body – whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free – and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so, the body is not made up of one part but of many.” 1 Corinthians 12:12-13

The body is composed of many parts, yet each member of the body serves a different purpose!

Sometimes, we struggle to recognize our strengths, feeling discouraged and hopeless. Other times, we excel in too many areas, leaving us overwhelmed and pressured. But purpose unfolds gradually, revealing itself as we remain faithful in the small things.

I never imagined myself as a teacher, but after three years of teaching Sunday school, I discovered that I love teaching!

I have been serving and teaching close to five years now.

When God called me a Warrior, I doubted it—“You must have the wrong person, Lord. I don’t have any weapons to fight with!” But He equipped me, and today, I teach and equip others for battle, even though I once had no idea where to start.

Discovering Purpose through Individuality

A few weeks ago in my Sunday class, I presented a lesson on individuality—what it means to be different yet still valuable.

To illustrate this, we played a game.

I handed out different professional titles on sheets of paper.  Each child received unique traits and characteristics taped to their back. They were asked to identify and follow classmates who matched certain descriptions.

Then, I asked each child a simple yet powerful question: “What are you naturally good at?”

🎨 Some were artists. ⚽ Others loved sports. 📚 A few thrived in math. 🍳 Others enjoyed cooking and baking.

Through this discussion, even the child who felt he had no purpose discovered his gift!

Trust the Process

“And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment.”1 Corinthians 12:23b

If there’s a gift within you that you don’t fully understand yet, but you feel passionate about it, that’s okay!

Take one step, one day at a time.

Seek guidance—find a mentor who can help you refine your gift.

Trust the process—watch as your gift grows into something mighty

Stay faithful—when we honor the small things, God expands our territory.
