WHAT do you do when you are afraid? Our children are going back to school, we don’t know what’s in store for them this year, so much to consider, and so many questions? Being afraid, or feeling unsure of the future, is a natural response to an unknown situation, or circumstance.
When we face a moment that is unfamiliar to us, we sometimes shrink back, and allow fear to worry us.
We are human, who fall short of the glory of God. We have moments when we loose our confidence, and instead become worried, and afraid.
David the Psalmist was afraid too. So many were against him, Saul the King, was chasing him. It’s OK to be afraid, it’s a natural response, however we are not to let fear swallow us, or lie to us, we are to overcome Fear!
How? Through God’s word! By pulling out our weapon of destruction, the WORD OF GOD!
Many of Biblical heroes had moments of doubt, fear, and worry. David, and many others did nor allow fear to speak into their lives, nor did they allow fear to doubt God’s magnificence in their lives. The minute that the voice of fear would speak into David’s life, he would shut it down
