BIBLE STUDY TIPS
PLAN
Choose a reading plan or guide that breaks down the Bible into manageable portions, or sections. This will help you stay organized and consistent backed up with actions.
CHOOSE YOUR SPACE
Create a peaceful environment where you can focus on the reading, and connect with God. Put on some instrumental music, motivational or inspirational sounds to get you in the spirit & mood, maybe even worship first. Choose a comfortable space or a cozy corner in your home, whatever feels peaceful to you, do that! I have a reclining chair that I like to sit on, or a study corner where I dedicate that time and SPACE to my study, and GOD.
S.O.A.P and JOURNAL
Take notes, follow a SOAP Method, jot down your thoughts, questions, and insights as you read. This helps you engage with the study, and remember key points in the story. Journaling helps you bring your thoughts on paper.
USE STUDY RESOURCES
Use study resources, supplement your reading with study materials like commentaries, devotionals, or Bible studies, they provide additional insights and context into your reading. You can also use resources from my site, I share what I can, and make it available to my circle of people.
CREATE A ROUTINE
Establish a routine, make it a habit: Set aside a specific time each day for Bible reading. Consistency is key, and it helps you develop a habit.
Remember, everyone’s approach to Bible reading is unique, so feel free to adapt these tips to fit your own style and preferences. Happy reading!
