Proverbs 1 | The Purpose of Wisdom
Seeking for Wisdom?
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of Wisdom

What is Wisdom?
Wisdom is having the ability to know and understand what is right, true, or lasting.
The PURPOSE of Wisdom
To teach whoever is willing; understanding, and discipline.
Who is it for?
the simpleminded to be clever and gain common sense
young people– to find purpose and meaning
wise – increase in knowledge and understanding
knowledgeable – to increase in guidance and direction, discernment and insight.
The fear of God is the START or beginning of heavenly wisdom.
Reverence and respect to higher authority, GOD
Instructions in discipline, good conduct, doing what is right, just, and fair.
Two TYPES of Wisdom
Earthly wisdom
1. Operated by pride.
2. Gained through experience, knowledge or education, reading of books, going to school, learning from experts. This wisdom according to James is bitter envy, and is full of selfish ambition
Heavenly Wisdom
1. Operated by humility, and honor and is gained through honest living.
2. Illustrated in the lives of those who live according to the precepts of God’s Holy Word; by living a good lives, acceptable, and pleasing to GOD.
3. all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Not wisdom of common sense, or present reality, but insight, and understanding, that comes from above; foolish to men, but delight to them who receive it, and accept it in their lives.
If you find yourself making bad decisions, and choices, it is not too late to turn around, and seek for wisdom. God gives wisdom to anyone who asks.
When you ask, make sure you believe, and trust, that God is who he says he is, and that he is a rewarder of them who diligently seek him. Don’t allow doubt to cut in, because doubt throws to and from, like the waves, and fear stagnates action. Allow faith to work it’s way, and perform miracles.
Let's Affirm
We are wise and discerning in all things concerning us, our situations, and circumstances.
We walk by faith and not by sight.
We trust and believe that God is able, mighty, and powerful 👋😄
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I desire to seek your heavenly wisdom, and draw your knowledge, from your holy WORD. I desire to gain understanding, and insight that is not of this world. I turn from my wicked ways, of pleasing my flesh, and I surrender to you, the ALMIGHTY GOD, to direct me, and teach me your ways. I give my all to you, I surrender my ways, Be the LORD of my life, and guide me into all TRUTH, amen!
