This section is for kids, but let’s face it, adults can use it too 😉 we are all learning and growing. My daughter asked me to include a section for her age kids. She is 9

So here it goes

Today we are going to go over a verse that’s very important in our daily life, and routine. This verse comes from the book of Solomon, Proverbs in the BIBLE and it goes like this.

Do you understand?

Our tongues can say kind things, and our tongues can also be hurtful, mean, and rude. For example when your sister refuses to let you into her room, you want to be mean towards her, and call her names. You may think she is being mean to you, but maybe your sister or brother, just want to play on their own for little bit.

Think about others at that moment. Treat others the way you want to be treated. How would she feel?

Don't you like your personal space?

She or he does too!

Or when you draw a picture, but someone comes to destroy it, makes us want to be mean back right?

instead we can focus on the good, and hold back. That means to not get upset, or say anything mean.

In life, we can choose to be upset or we can choose to not be upset. It is our choice! We can tell others they hurt our feelings, but we can say it in the nice way, not mean, with the right attitude.

Our tongues want to say mean things, but we are to stop it, and say nice things instead, thinking about others first. WE all have our bad days, maybe they are not even upset with you. Maybe being nice can lift them up, or make them feel better.

We must choose carefully the words we are to say to each other, because words hurt.

This is how we change the world kids! We speak nice things, and choose to not say mean things. Even when it’s hard. That’s strength!

It’s very hard to not say mean things when someone is mean to us, but if we ask God to help us, he does.

PRAYER

Dear God help me to say good things, and not be mean to my sister, brother, uncle, dad, mom. Help me to be kind, and nice. I can do all things !
