Yesterday was launch day for my 5-Day Gift edition of Sword Delight Devotions, and I wrote all about it. The real story, not just the polished version. The laundry, the test emails, the two beautiful yeses...
So yesterday was launch day. After weeks of writing, designing, praying, and polishing, my 5-Day Gift edition of Sword Delight Devotions finally went out into the world. If you’ve ever held something close to your heart and wondered whether it was time to share it, pull up a chair. This one’s for you.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31
The funnel page created through Royal Addon Elementor went live at Firestarterignite.com/free-
“Get 5 Days of Sword Delight Devotions, Free.“
My favorite line on the page says it best
“This is more than a download. It’s five mornings with God.“
I wrote all of these Devotions with God at the center, and I leaned on him for direction. Every morning, before drop off at school, I quickly glance at the scripture via Youversion, ( whether it is a Verse of the Day or something I come across that day) and I let it permiate in my soul, on my drive back, or while I’m doing the dishes, or starting my laundry, I think about those words. Then I sit down and I create.
The Devotionals are written from a place of different seasons I have gone through, or experiences I have encountered, or maybe a scripture I came across during my study.
then I get to work
After my launch graphic got finished and approved for Facebook and Instagram feeds. The Threads post went out, and that afternoon, I sent my email to everyone I ever connected or had on my email list.
“It’s Launch day, and I have a Gift for you.”
Then I just breathed for a minute.
I’m about to do something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I thought to myself, today I am going to step up and actually release my 5 FIRST Devotionals into the world, and pray for a good outcome.
God you are my fortress, my divine help when I call upon your name!
It’s pretty simple. Five devotions, plus a bonus page called “Where to Start in the Bible,” plus a closing page called “The Story Continues” that points toward the full 15-day Devotional Copy and Firestarterignite.com.

It’s free, just an email signup, ahead of the full book launch. I made it free because I wanted people to get a little taste, five mornings with God, before the whole book arrives.
I heard this morning in our devotional that you only need 20 seconds of courage to operate in courage. Can you imagine the difference 20 seconds can make? Whatever you need to do, choose courage and allow God to step in.
On the outside looking in, it looks like ” just a devotional, anyone can do that! ” but on the inside, there’s reality, preparations and courage that takes place. I learned to appreciate every creator after this, because the strength it takes to create something, only a few can understand.
Okay, here’s what launch day actually looked like over here. Two loads of laundry, check. Prepping my sword study, and teaching for my group, check. Some cleaning, that i’ve put off, check. Grabbing a quick lunch, check. Updating my Threads post, check.
All of that tucked right in between the milestones.
and it all requires time, energy and courage,
that I don’t have!
This is when we need strength to hold on to JESUS, our Rock, our Defender, and our Fortress.

In GOD I trust and place my confidence, help me to be strong and courageous in the face of difficulty or uncertainty, lead me to a rock that is highter than I. Pick up my loads and carry them with me. I need your strenght God and a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Amen
Finances, people, health, or wealth? All things can fail you! Put your trust in God; He sustains, He keeps, He secures!
And can I be honest? It wasn’t as smooth as I pictured it. I had issues uploading the files, then restructuring my message, then sending out test emails. I could have thrown in the towel, I could have given up, but… all the stuff the audience never sees, the behind the scenes work, God does, and he rewards us in ways we ca’t imagine.
That’s just real life, you know? The ordinary day holding the extraordinary one.
I can go on and on about that, but let’s get back to launching…
“I just read your 5 day devotional and I love it. Day 1 really spoke to me. When God nudged me at 35, it was to learn what’s truly from Him and what isn’t, so calling out what isn’t the word of God hit home. Day 2 too, because I’ve seen firsthand how Jesus restores what the enemy tried to destroy. Day 4 got me as well, you can feel your heart as a mom in it. And the Where to Start in the Bible page is such a gift. When I first started reading, my very first question was where do I even begin? Thank you so much for sharing it with me!”
Two out of two subscribers wrote back glowing. That’s not a small launch, y’all. That’s a deeply felt one.
and can I be honest with you?
I hoped for more signups. And I caught myself wondering if my audience just isn’t familiar with the content yet or it’s too early to tell, whatever the reason is, I am content, and I’m looking forward to releasing more.
Because the words we share are transformative and powerful to another person. They are ordinary to us, because that’s what we hear on a daily basis, but to someone else, they are keys, confirmation, encouragement and the prayer they have been seeking for.
SO get on that assignment, sis, bro! you have been waiting for confirmation, this is IT! Write that book, launch that idea, and publish that work, God can do so much more with it, than you ever could.
But here’s where I landed. It’s day one. Most people need to see something a few times before they act, and the email that got send out, went out that afternoon. Two signups is a foundation, not a finish line. Every sign up from here just builds on the last.
