Discipleship is the lifeling journey of following Jesus and being transformed into his likeness.
-Bible in a YEAR
May you follow Jesus with renewed commitment this week, taking one step closer to him each day, and helping others do the same.
– Bible in a YEAR
As we go through the WEEK let us examine our fruit and see how we can develop in our spiritual understanding and growth.
* The Blog Study draws inspiration from the Bible in a Year Journal While some phrases may be altered for context, the essence remains rooted in the Journal’s concepts rather than being directly copied. To explore each Bible theme and apply these principles to your life, consider purchasing the BOOK for your personal study.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Matthew 28:19-20
Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature
Mark 16:15
When Jesus called us to the GREAT Comission he didn’t call us to convert people, or make converts, rather he called us to mentor and disciple people. Make followers, not converts, who would learn his ways, and reproduce his life in others. This great comission calls us to GO into the world, and fullfill our primary mandate, challenging us to move beyond surface-level Christianity to deep transformative faith.
Then he said to them all: “ Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.
Luke 9:23-24
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
John 15:8
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Galations 5:22-24
True discipleship produces visible results. ” Like a healthy branch connected to the vine naturally produces grapes, a life connected to Jesus naturally produces spiritual fruit. This fruit is not about behaviour modification but about our image being transformed into his likeness and character.
Do you see someone skilled in their work?
They will serve before kings;
they will not serve before officials of low rank.Proverbs 22:29
Paul’s charge to Timothy, young leader in the faith, his comapnion, to entrust truth to reliable people who are qualified to teach. What is this qualification? Obedience, Sacrifice, Fruit and character of Christ. We must bear fruit ( Gal 5:22-24) producing visible results and finally invest into others through discipleship & spiritual growth.
Jesus in Matthew 4:19 ” I will send you out to fish for people.”

Your Story is important to someone else. The details of your testimony are life to someone else. I couldn’t have spoken into strangers life, if I myself did not go through the battles. I can only speak because I know the pain, the hurt, and confusion. I pray God comforts us, and gives us the grace to tell our story, no matter how small the details are.
Let’s not hesitate to share our testimonies and help each other walk through the valleys, and reach our destinations together. With a sense of fulfillment, and helping others get there can be a rewarding and satisfying experience, because when we lift each other up, we don’t just reach our destinations, we thrive in them.
I’d love to share your Story on my SITE!
