Sharpen your Sword Warrior

In our journey of #faith, it’s essential to sharpen our swords, & deepen our knowledge & understanding of Scripture. Just as a Warrior prepares for battle, we too must equip ourselves with the Word of God, and put on the FULL Armor of God on. I have put together a list of some of the ways we can sharpen our swords & put on the Armor.

Ways to Sharpen Your Sword

▪︎ Read Your Word (Bible)
Dive into the Scriptures daily. Let the Word transform your heart and mind, wash over your spirit, cleanse and purify your heart. I use YouVersion Bible App Daily Bible Verse to keep me accountable.

▪︎ Study with S.O.A.P
Use the S.O.A.P method (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer) to deepen your study and apply the Word to your life with our SOAP Study Guide. I have put together a Blog for you to check out and follow along.

▪︎ Listen to Podcasts
Tune into faith-based podcasts that explore biblical teachings and provide insights, for everyday life, and journey. listen to biblically sound preaching and sermons from your car, or your office. Sword Study Room & Firestarter Ignite Podcasts are the start-up  of my journey  as a Teacher and Podcaster, and you can tune into them if you wish.

▪︎ Journal
Write down your thoughts, prayers, and revelations as you read and reflect upon scripture. Journaling helps clarify your understanding of God’s word, and reflect on your spiritual journey in the long run. It’s for YOU! I have even compiled some of my Journaling prompts into Blogs for you to delight on.
▪︎ Check Out our Faith Blog
Explore blogs that focus on biblical topics and subjects. They can offer fresh perspectives and insights. I write Blogs every so often, featuring other bloggers as well, check us out BLOG

▪︎ Read a Devotional
Reading a devotional can facilitate daily reflections and assist in connecting with God’s Word on a personal level. I utilize the YouVersion Bible App to maintain consistency, establish a biblical routine, and stay connected with other Warriors like myself. Currently, I am hosting a 365-Day Bible Plan, and we are on Day 6. Join us in this adventure.

▪︎ Pray
Seek God in prayer. Ask for wisdom and understanding as you study God’s Word. Before I get into the STUDY I pray for God to lead me, teach me and to gain an understanding drawing deep insights from within.

▪︎ Check In with Groups
Nothing like biblically sound Groups & Communities to keep you accountable and become part of godly community. I have a few I can recommend to help you grow spiritually. Its good to gather with believers on Sunday, but we also need groups and communities to keep us engaged and committed through the week. As the Bible instructs us to gather even more as the day approaches, so should we. Engage with fellow believers & study groups, discuss Scripture, pray and uplift within your community, outside and online. Sharing struggles, and discussing Scripture can enrich your understanding, deepen your knowledge, as well as seek out support from others in the community. You are not alone, there are others who are facing the same issues you are facing. Don’t forget to thank Admins of FB Groups, pastors, and group leaders for making this space for you.

With that being said,

Let’s commit to sharpening our swords together! What are some of your favorite ways of sharpening your Sword? Leave your thoughts!
