It’s not me… it’s God working in me

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self‑control. Against such things there is no law.”

Galatians 5:22-23

There’s something so comforting about this passage. It reminds me that the fruit God wants to grow in my life doesn’t come from me trying to be perfect or pushing myself to “do better.” It comes from His Spirit

quietly, gently, faithfully working within me. I don’t have to force it. I just have to stay connected.

Unlike the world

We have confidence and hope

In Revelation 21:4, we are reminded of a beautiful promise from God

Reflection

The fruit of the Spirit isn’t a checklist. It’s not something I wake up and try to produce on my own. It’s evidence of God’s presence in my life

His work, His shaping, His transformation.

A tree doesn’t strain to grow fruit. It simply stays rooted, nourished, connected.

And that’s exactly how the Spirit works in me. When I walk with Him

in Scripture, in prayer, in quiet surrender

He grows what I could never grow by myself.

While we wait…

Let us not grow weary in doing good. Galatians 6:9

But with confidence await that promise,

Not by my strength. Not by my effort. But by His Spirit.

Some days the fruit is obvious. Other days it feels like I’m starting over. But He’s faithful. And as long as I stay close, He continues His work in me.

Not by my strength. Not by my effort. But by His Spirit.

Faithfulness in Trials

Staying faithful during difficult times is crucial. Our trust in God strengthens us and allows His peace to fill our hearts, even amidst chaos.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for growing what I cannot grow on my own. Keep me close to You. Teach me to abide, to surrender, and to trust Your process in my life. Produce Your fruit in me; gently, steadily, beautifully as I walk with You each day. Amen.
