Being afraid, or feeling unsure of the future, is a natural response to an unknown situation, or circumstance.

When we face a moment that is unfamiliar to us, we sometimes shrink back, and allow fear to worry us.

We are human, who fall short of the glory of God. We have moments when we loose our confidence, and instead become worried, and afraid.

David the Psalmist was afraid too. So many were against him, Saul the King, was chasing him. It’s OK to be afraid, it’s a natural response, however we are not to let fear swallow us, or lie to us, we are to overcome Fear!

How? Through God’s word! By pulling out our weapon of destruction, the WORD OF GOD!

Many of Biblical heroes had moments of doubt, fear, and worry. David, and many others did nor allow fear to speak into their lives, nor did they allow fear to doubt God’s magnificence in their lives. The minute that the voice of fear would speak into David’s life, he would shut it down

This is David speaking, and I find myself in a similar situation. It seems the enemy is winning, it seems like my enemies are in hot pursuit, but Like David, I choose to trust my Savior, and look beyond what I see!

God is for me who can be against me?

I am human and I fall short everyday. I am prone to making mistakes, and falling into my weaknesses, however I will not let fear speak into my life. David the psalmist knew this all too well. In his moments of weakness, David trusted God. When we find ourselves afraid, and let down. Let us put our trust in the one, who moves mountains!

Prayer 🙏🏻

God when I am afraid, when I am anxious, or I am worried about situations before me, help me to place my trust in you. Help me to not be anxious, help me not to worry or be afraid. Give me the courage to stand! When I fall into my weakness, when I fall short of your glory, strengthen me!

I trust you, I place my confidence in you. I wait upon you Lord to rescue me from my troubles.
