It doesn’t matter where you START; what’s important is that you stay consistent and see it through to the very END. If you started with the book of GENESIS, remain there; read and meditate, one chapter at a time, before moving on to the next book. If you encounter something you don’t understand, reach out to your pastor, leader, or mentor for interpretation. They are there to GUIDE you until you can read through the Bible on your own.

Bible: This can be a physical copy or an electronic version, depending on your preference.
Writing Tools: A pen for note-taking, along with Bible markers or highlighters to emphasize key verses and insights.
S.O.A.P. Study Template: Utilize a structured template to organize your study and reflections. Use the one I have here as well.
Journal: A notebook or any writing surface to document your thoughts, reflections, and insights throughout your study.
Music: Consider playing soothing, instrumental, or worship music in the background to create a conducive atmosphere for study and reflection.
Comfortable Study Space: Find a quiet and comfortable location where you can focus without distractions. If necessary, create a boundary by setting a “do not disturb” alarm to help minimize interruptions.
Respect from Surrounding People: Ensure that those around you understand your study time and provide the necessary respect and space for you to engage fully.
Study Group: Join a group for support and accountability. Engaging with others can enhance your understanding and provide encouragement as you progress in your study.
Take your time reading each passage, allowing God to speak to you through His Word. As you read, pay attention to verses that resonate with you or seem highlighted in your spirit. When you encounter a verse that particularly stands out, write it down in your journal.
