What is the Gospel ?
* The term “The Gospel” refers to the authentic and unadulterated message of salvation as presented in the New Testament of the Bible. This message is centered on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and it is the foundation of Christian faith and doctrine. The True Gospel is the good news of God’s grace and redemption offered to humanity through Jesus Christ. John 3:16
* The True Gospel is rooted in the teachings of Jesus and the apostles. The Apostle Paul succinctly summarizes the Gospel in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
This passage highlights the core elements of the Gospel: the sacrificial death of Christ for the atonement of sins, His burial, and His victorious resurrection.

Signs or Red Flags🎌 of the Wrong Doctrine
1. Angel visitation & private interpretation. If someone comes to you claiming to have a revelation from God, preaching another gospel, do not listen to them.
2. Not Biblically Accurate. You have been taught the Gospel, keep your eyes ahead, don’t get distracted, stay focused. If revelation or knowledge does not align with God’s word, don’t embrace it.
3. Test the Spirit. Test the spirit by the spirit. Refer to 1 John 4:1, which instructs believers to “test the spirits to see
whether they are from God,” as many false prophets
have gone out into the world. A tree is known by its fruit. Matthew 7:15-20
James 1
James 2
Mark 16
Mark 15
Mark 14
“God does not show favoritism” Galatians 1:12 ; James 2:1-13
Paul along with Barnabas ( the encourager) and Titus, went to the disciples ( Cephas aks Peter, James, and John. They recognized he was called to the Gentiles ( nations other than Jews; uncircumcized in the law)
approved to preach the gospel to the Gentiles, and not to forget the poor
Even though Paul and Peter settled their differences in being called to a certain audience, they once again were opposed in the community.
What was this conflict?
Paul found Peter acting hypocritically, following jewish customs when Gentiles are not around, and encouraging others to do the same.
1. Eating with Gentiles: It was prohibited by law ( jewish customs) not to eat with Gentiles. ( Galatians 2: 11-13)
2. Confrontation with truth. YOU eat like a jew but live like a Gentile. Not only that you force Gentiles to follow jewish customs. ( vs 14)
A person is not justified by works. Yes show me your works, to evidence faith, but we are not justified by works. Galatians 2:16

Reflect on the difference between adhering to religious laws to earn the favor of God and receiving the grace of God as a gift given to us through Jesus. Have you ever sought to earn God’s grace through your actions? Have you ever allowed religious law to weaken your experience of God’s grace? How does God’s grace bring freedom that religious duty could never bring? Ask God to reveal the full power of His grace in your life. Then spend a few moments thanking Him for the gift of grace He has given you!
