Productive Day? YES please

Your mindset determines how your day unfolds. To establish a productive morning routine, consider the following recommendations that I intergrade into my day daily.

  • What are your goals for the day?
  •
  •  Your goals, objectives, attitude determine the course of your day

7 PRODUCTIVE MORNING TIPS

1. PRAYER

Begin your day with prayer. Instead of turning to your phone, and checking your notifications, emails, PRAY. Prayer will dictate the course of your day. Prayer or Meditation helps create FOCUS and Calm for the things that matter. You can pray in the car, in the shower, while on commute, or simply set aside 10 minutes to spend time with God alone.

2. DEVOTIONAL TIME

  1. Create a space for study or devotional time to read God’s Word and focus on learning something new. Reading books, or learning new tasks “may have several health benefits. These include strengthening your brain, increasing your ability to empathize, reducing stress, and building your vocabulary” via Healthline .Read a devotional or engage in a biblical study. My favorite app, Youversion Bible App & my Devotional Site are some of my go-to’s in the morning.

PRAYER builds up your spiritual muscles, creates a consistent schedule, and keeps you accountable. Before you Plan, don’t forget to PRAY.

3. HYDRATE

  1. Hydrate yourself with a cool cup or bottle of water. It’s important to drink water. There are many benefits to drinking water on a daily basis.  Hydrating is important. It is recommended by the The Academy of Nutrition   to drinking about 100 unces/12.5 cups a day. I do not drink nearly as much water as recommended, but I do understand the importance of drinking water everyday, which I am challenging myself to drink more.  Having a water bottle nearby helps, on  the counter when youb are cooking, or bringing a flask along with you on the run/drive. I drink about 26oz- to 50oz throughout my day. If I’m running or spending time outside, I drink more.

4. HAVE FUN

  1. Have Fun. Schedule a enjoyable activity. Incorporate Fun into your Day. This can be anything from reading, to scheduling a fun run to the store, window shopping, or just strolling through a park. I play pickleball, catch up with a friend for a lunch, or just turn music on in my car, and jam to the sound, without an apology. I recommend reading this book ” Have FUN” that gave me quite a perspective on FUN.

5. SCHEDULE

  1. Schedule your day, and not only that, maintain a timely schedule. Set up Timers throughout your day. Daily reminders, make use of technology like Siri and Alexa, put it to work. Make sure you are on schedule doing productive things and not wasting time. If you need to scroll through social media posts, Tik-Tok, or YouTube for searching, or entertainment, find some time in your day to do that. Endless videos and scrolling take up your time, stealing away moments you can use on doing more productive things, which in tur  take up your time, and energy. Have you noticed how quickly you get tired after long periods of social media consumption? Because of this constant distraction I set up a social media limit for my day and keep myself accountable to that limit, allowing myself to go over just a little bit. I also make use of my Schedule Alarms, and Alexa. I set up timers and reminders for everything; from laundry reminders to prayer reminders, to reading, and study time. I set an alarm to hold myself accountable and enhance my productivity.

6. FOCUS

  1. FOCUS. I MEAN really focus on what you are doing. You can easily get distracted, or sidetracked with activity you don’t have any business doing. Focus on your objectives, the task at hand. Focusing, and zeroing in on the task, and objectives are keys in being productive in your Day. If you don’t intentionally create that awareness, you can easily be distracted and sidetracked by endless tasks that have nothing to do with you or your purpose.

7. STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE

  1. Strive for excellence. Always, regardless of the task at hand, make excellence your goal. In every endeavor, adopting a mindset of striving for greater is my guiding principle. This does not perfection, as that is unattainable ideal, but rather establishing a personal standard of excellence and remaining committed to it. I always said it, if you can’t be in 100% then why even do it in the first place?
  2.
which one of these tips are you currently struggling with?

If you can focus on your objectives, stay on schedule, and keep yourself accountable, you can move mountains!

Let’s go!
