CHAPTER
OUTLINE
Although the book was written in ancient Israel, its messages remain applicable in the modern world and the church. As students study this book, they can learn wisdom that will help them draw closer to the Lord & stay on the good path.
What is Wisdom ?
Wisdom: – the capacity for learning, reasoning, or understanding.
Benefits of Wisdom
Long life: Wisdom often leads to better decision-making regarding health and lifestyle, contributing to longevity
Riches and honor: Wise individuals are often respected and honored in their communities, Gods favor often lead to better decitions & choices.
Peace: Wisdom helps in resolving conflicts peacefully, which leads to healthy communication and relationships.
Sound Wisdom & Discretion : Wisdom allows for thoughtful consideration of options, leading to sound choices.
What is folly
Folly: – quality or state of being foolish, lack of understanding or common sense
What does folly look like?
– unruly
-simple, knows nothing
-ruled by pride, disobedient, rebellious
-folly calls everyone to her TABLE as well
-she lies, she deceives, she manipulates.
-leads into destruction
OVERVIEW
Solomon sections the chapter into verses and topics. He talks about the benefits of wisdom, and the value there of ( vs 1-10; vs 13-26); sends a warning ( vs 11-12) and finally touches on important life matters ( vs 27-35)
SCRIPTURES TO MEMORIZE
Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Proverbs 3:3
No matter where you go let LOVE and faithfulness of GOD lead you, remember to hide God's word in your heart.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[
Proverbs 3:5
Do not lean on your own understanding, submit to GOD, and he will guide you in everything.
9. Honor the Lord with your wealth,
with the firstfruits of all your crops;
10. then your barns will be filled to overflowing,
and your vats will brim over with new wine.
Proverbs 3: 9-10
Honor God in all you do, and he will be faithful with you, matter effect test him and see! Will he not overflow and bless abundantly?

2. Gained through experience, knowledge or education, reading of books, going to school, learning from experts. This wisdom according to James is bitter envy, and is full of selfish ambition

Heavenly Wisdom
1. Operated by humility, and honor and is gained through honest living.
2. Illustrated in the lives of those who live according to the precepts of God’s Holy Word; by living a good lives, acceptable, and pleasing to GOD.
3. all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Not wisdom of common sense, or present reality, but insight, and understanding, that comes from above; foolish to men, but delight to them who receive it, and accept it in their lives.

Your Story is important to someone else. The details of your testimony are life to someone else. I couldn’t have spoken into strangers life, if I myself did not go through the battles. I can only speak because I know the pain, the hurt, and confusion. I pray God comforts us, and gives us the grace to tell our story, no matter how small the details are.
Let’s not hesitate to share our testimonies and help each other walk through the valleys, and reach our destinations together. With a sense of fulfillment, and helping others get there can be a rewarding and satisfying experience, because when we lift each other up, we don’t just reach our destinations, we thrive in them.
