No matter where you turn, emotions, thoughts, and feelings, are raging against you, threatening to destroy you.
The mind battle
Constant battle of the mind. Should I, or shouldn’t I? Do good or do evil? Say the right thing, or the wrong thing?
It seems, when you are getting closer to God, wanting to do the right thing, or praying through your victory, thoughts come up out of nowhere, and compete for your attention, fear is threatening to shut you down, and emotions and feelings are not far behind.
You are not alone!
When the enemy came up against Jesus in the wilderness, in his hour of temptation, and desperation, he knew what to do!
“IT IS WRITTEN”
He didn’t fight with his emotions and feelings, he didn’t argue, or tried to reason with the devil, he pulled out a weapon, that had Power to demolish every lying word, and pretence. Not the weapon that we use in this world, hatred, bitterness, and anger. This weapon was ready and activated, to be used at his expense the minute he declared it!
In other worlds, THE BIBLE SAYS!
Our WORDS are POWERFUL and effective, piercing through every emotion and feeling, intention, and motive, argument, and pretence, EVEN to the dividing of soul and spirit.
Hebrews 4:12
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Paraphrased 2 Corinthians 10:5
When you find yourself battling your thoughts, and emotions stay calm and take your thoughts captive through the word of God! When you find yourself struggling declare, THE WORD OF GOD SAYS…
The word of God shuts the mouth of lion, and causes him to run away. Resist him, submit to God and he will flee from you
