Faith is the foundation of a Christian’s experience. It represents belief and trust in God’s love, guidance, and promises, giving believers hope for the future. This strong faith helps Christians face life’s challenges, providing hope and purpose during tough times. Faith is a beautiful and powerful part of many people’s lives.
Basic Definition of faith
faith- confidence or trust in a person or thing
Biblical definition of Faith
“substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen.” -Hebrews 11:1
Substance – physical matter with uniform properties of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence.
Evidence – the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.
Faith comes by Hearing
Faith grows as we expose ourselves to God’s truth and promises.

Faith growth does not happen overnight, it takes effort and patience to develop aa FULL grown faith. Just as a little babe grows through stages of development, so does our faith.
Scripture tells us that ” faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”. Our faith developes and grows with learning and growing through the process. ” Like a plant turning toward the sunlight, our faith naturally grows stronger as we orient ourselves toward God’s Word. ”

True faith produces movement- it changes how we live, how we make decitions, and how we respond to challenges.

Faith goes hand in hand with action. The bible says in James 2:17-18 “faith by itself, if its not accompanied by action, is dead.”
Abraham’s faith was demonstated through action. It was “demonstraed in his willingness to pack up his household and start walking.”

I was NOT ready
I lacked knowledge and understanding of scripture,
I was told to believe that the enemy has bigger fish to catch, and fry. So when I stepped on the battlefield I was constantly getting hurt, and wounded.
I asked the Holy Spirit to help me, and to teach me, and he did.
Just as it is important to wear clothes, to protect ourselves from various forms of weather, and elements, so it is important to wear protective gear spiritually.
The Book of Ephesians 6, Paul reveals to us this spiritual armor, and the operations of the enemy at hand. Without the FULL Armor on we are open and vulnerable for the enemy to attack. Let us not be unaware of the devils plots and schemes. ” that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthians 2:11
Growing up I struggled to understand basic concepts of Faith, as well as basic knowledge of scripture. As a result, I rejected and misunderstood my calling, as well as my true identity, as a believer of Christ.
Not only that, I did not know how to pray, let alone the importance of prayer, so as a result I kept getting hit left, and right until I had no prayer life, or even desire to follow Christ.

Your Story is important to someone else. The details of your testimony are life to someone else. I couldn’t have spoken into strangers life, if I myself did not go through the battles. I can only speak because I know the pain, the hurt, and confusion. I pray God comforts us, and gives us the grace to tell our story, no matter how small the details are.
Let’s not hesitate to share our testimonies and help each other walk through the valleys, and reach our destinations together. With a sense of fulfillment, and helping others get there can be a rewarding and satisfying experience, because when we lift each other up, we don’t just reach our destinations, we thrive in them.
