DAY 1
In the Secret Place
When was the last time you spend time with GOD, or had any type of conversation with God ? NOT a repetivite prayer that you have memorized since childhood, I mean a One on One heartfelt conversation with GOD?
” But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.“
Matthew 6 : 6
We make Prayer complicated, when it isn't supposed to be!
Prayer is a conversation with your creator, talk to him, he is waiting for you to talk to him.
A little bit of a back story. Growing up I prayed religious prayers, repetitive prayers with no substance or fire, and for years did not know that there was a different way to pray. One day I asked God, to teach me how to pray. Not only did he teach me, he also created me a WARRIOR, who now equips and trains others for battle.
Foundational Scriptures
Matthew 6:9-13 Pattern of Prayer
This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name, your kingdom come,
your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
Other Scriptures
Matthew 6:6 Close the door, go in secret
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
James 1:6-7 Believe and not Doubt, doubt stops us from receiving
6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
1st Timothy 2: 1 – 2 pray for people, leaders, for peace and unity
1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
I encourage you to check these scriptures out at your own time and pace.
