Joyful in Hope

7/1/26

” Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

– Romans 12:12
Inspired by YouVersion

In this powerful chapter, Paul gives essential instructions to the church in Rome. He emphasizes three vital aspects of our faith.

1. Be Joyful in Hope. No matter the circumstances, hold onto the hope that God provides.

2. Patient in Affliction. Trials and tribulations are part of life, but patience during these times strengthens our faith and character.

3. Faithful in Prayer. Prayer is our lifeline to God.

I remember attending a conference a few years ago when a small business card fell from a lady’s hand and landed right in front of me. I picked it up, intending to return it, but she insisted, “You can have it!” As I looked at the card, I found the encouragement I desperately needed.

Those three words

joyful, patient, faithful

are what I walked away with
filling my heart with confidence and motivating me to keep going!

What encouragement are you holding onto in your journey of faith?

Backwards Thinking

6/30/26

” Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Luke 6:28

Inspired by YouVersion

It’s easy to love those who love you, but can you bless those who curse you, and pray for those that mistreat you?

Jesus teaches a principle that is not so easily accepted in our society. We want to be liked, appreciated, and honored. Rarely do people bless those that curse them or pray for those who mistreat them.

Kind of backwards, don’t you think? That’s Jesus for you! Backwards thinking, a non-familiar principle.

In a world that often promotes retaliation and bitterness, Jesus calls us to a higher standard. When we bless those who curse us, we break the cycle of negativity and reflect His love. When we pray for those who mistreat us, we open our hearts to healing and grace.

Let’s strive to embody this radical love today.

In Peace

6/29/26

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.

Psalm 4:8

Inspired by YouVersion

When I go to sleep, I lay down knowing God is handling my details. He keeps me at peace, safe and secure in His arms.

I don’t worry, I don’t stress, I don’t let fear bother me; I lay it all at the feet of Jesus. In His presence, I find solace and comfort, knowing that He is in control.

Each night, I surrender my burdens, trusting that He will take care of everything while I rest.

Let us remember that true peace comes from Him alone. As we close our eyes, let’s embrace the assurance that we are safe in His love.

What do you need to drop off at the feet of Jesus today?

We are God’s Masterpeice

6/28/26

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10

As we reflect on this powerful verse, let us remember that we are not just a collection of cells and atoms, or random people, we are God’s handiwork, crafted with purpose and intention. Each of us is a masterpiece, showcasing the creativity and power of our Creator.

In a world that often seeks to define us by our achievements or failures, it’s essential to recognize that our true identity lies in being created in Christ Jesus. We are designed to do good works; acts of love, kindness, and service, that resonate with the character of God.

These works were prepared for us long before we took our first breath, or were created in this world.

Let us embrace our identity as God’s creation and step boldly into the good works He has laid out for us. When we live out our purpose, we not only glorify God but also inspire others to see His love and grace in action.
