My poor baby 🥺

After spending the entire summer without much training, my baby gal attempted to do a few pushups. She quickly realized she wasn’t in shape and couldn’t even manage a couple of pushups. Feeling defeated, and discouraged she broke down and didn’t want to try again. 

We often gravitate toward the familiar because it feels safe. Crying, giving up, and walking away can seem like the easiest options, almost like the perfect escape plan. But is it really? When you get back up, the situation will still be there, unchanged. A temporary fix won't solve anything in the long run. So, I let her cry it out and then gently guide her to reality. Because, let's be honest, we all need those people in our lives who will tell us the hard truths, even when it stings. They’re the ones who help us grow and be encouraged.

I want to thank my husband, and my friend Nicole for igniting this desire in me to continue my health journey of running my 5k in intervals over the next few weeks and months.

How's going?

I have completed five weeks of running, with 30-minute intervals every two days. Initially, the challenges were manageable, but they gradually became more demanding. I began by running for two minutes, then progressed to five minutes, and eventually reached twenty minutes..

How's my daughter?

She has shown significant improvement. Beginning with a few push-ups, she has progressed to completing up to thirty. Additionally, attending the Military Academy helped her remain disciplined and maintain her fitness.

It’s a MUST

When it comes to fitness, our bodies often aren’t strong enough to handle the pressure. So, when life’s storms hit and troubles arise, we tend to cave in and break down, crying.

Having a mentor in our lives can make all the difference. Someone who believes in us, pushes us to succeed, and refuses to let us give up is invaluable. Alternatively, finding an accountability partner can be just as effective—someone who keeps us on track and motivated while offering encouragement along the way.

Today I am stepping up to the plate, and keeping myself accountable, to RUN, to get fit whatever means necessary. 

We all need help—a coach, a trusted advisor, or a friend who can guide us in a positive direction, someone who will stand by us, push us to succeed, and never let us give up.
